Technical principles and priing standards for better output than business card prompts

If your goal in writing a prompt for a business card is not just to produce a pretty image and you iend to achieve an output that can actually be used in digital or offset priing, you should set the prompt according to priing standards from the very beginning. Many designs that are produced by artificial ielligence face problems in the priing stage because the color mode, resolution, size and crop margin are not specified in the prompt. These prompts can be used in text-to-image artificial ielligence tools such as Gemini, JPT Chat, Midjourney, etc. In the following, we will review the most importa pois that must be followed in the prompt text to ensure the quality of the final pri.

Suitable color for priing

The first and most importa thing is to specify the CMYK color mode in the prompt. Most artificial ielligence tools work by default with the RGB color space, which is specific to the display and causes color changes, darkness or blurring of the design in pri. By explicitly specifying CMYK, the output is optimized for priing from the start.

Standard pri resolution

Output resolution is also vitally importa. If the 300dpi resolution is not meioned in the prompt, no matter how high-quality the final design looks on the screen, it will suffer from a loss of clarity, pixelation of the writings, and a reduction in the quality of the logo. Meioning the standard pri resolution is one of the most esseial parts of any professional business card prompt.

The exact dimensions of the business card

In addition to these items, the standard size of the business card must be specified in the prompt. The lack of exact dimensions causes the ratio of the output image to be wrong and in the cutting stage, the design is stretched or incompletely pried. Specifying the size helps the artificial ielligence to make the design exactly according to the actual dimensions.

Bleed compliance and safe cutting margin

The next very importa issue is to consider bleed and the safe margin of the cut. If Bleed is not meioned in the prompt, importa elemes such as text or logo may be removed or incomplete in the cutting process. Noting the cut margin makes the final design look clean, professional and flawless after cutting.

Determine the type of pri

It is also better to specify the type of priing in the prompt. Digital priing and offset priing behave differely in the display of colors, and if this issue is not meioned, the final output may not match your expectations. Specifying the type of priing helps to better adjust the color and corast.

Preparation of output file and final details before priing

In addition to technical specifications, the way to prepare the output file also plays an importa role in pri quality. If the final file is just a simple image, you’ll have trouble delivering it to the prier or final editing. For this reason, in the prompt, it is better to explicitly request a PDF file for priing or layered PSD, so that it is possible to modify, adjust the color and reuse the design.

Paying atteion to suitable typography for priing is also one of the key pois. Fos that are attractive on screen may not be legible enough in pri. In the prompt, the readability of the texts, the appropriate corast between the text and the background, and the clarity of the coact information should be emphasized so that the business card remains functional in real use.

It should also be kept in mind that some visual effects, such as extreme crystal, very subtle shadows or soft gradies, are not of good quality in pri or are not displayed correctly. Referring to pri-friendly design and avoiding unnecessary effects makes the final output cleaner and more professional.

Finally, even if the prompt is written correctly, a final check is necessary before priing. The matching of colors, the distance of elemes from the edges, the readability of the texts and the clarity of the logo should be checked, and if necessary, by slightly modifying the prompt, the final output will reach ideal quality.
